Primrose Farm & Bakehouse

Primrose Farm & Bakehouse is a community-minded mixed grain and vegetable farm, bakery, and flour mill just west of Missoula. We strive to create delicious, healthy, and sustainable products that open folks’ eyes to the magic of fresh, stone-milled whole grains – whether through our foolproof dry mixes or crowd-favorite sourdough pastries and breads. Our long-term vision works to keep more Montana-grown grains in the state, building lively local grain economies that support farmers and their land while nourishing end consumers.

We currently source all of our whole grains from trusted farmers across the state – most of our grain is certified organic or regenerative, though more and more comes from small, non-certified operations that are following beyond-the-label practices that truly put the land first. All our other raw ingredients are sourced from our farm or within the state when possible, and non-local ingredients like sugar and cocoa powder are organic and/or fair trade. It all matters!
