Markette Farms

We are a small, diversified annual vegetable farm in Corvallis, MT using organic principles and practices to grow the best food and soil. We returned to the Bitterroot, where Jeff grew up, in September 2025 to start Markette Farms after working in ag for many years. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Montana and an alumni of the PEAS Farm. Whitney met Jeff while farming on Whidbey Island in Washington. She’s worked on many farms and her interest in horticulture has grown over the years. Currently we farm about 1 acre, including 2 unheated caterpillar tunnels.

We believe in farming in a way that leaves the land better than it was before we came, bioregional food sufficiency, seasonal production cycles, clean, nutritious, safe food, and creating relationships with our neighbors and community. We use Organic practices, although we are not yet certified.
