About Us
Brian Herbel, Jennifer Lucco, and their son, Clancy, own and operate Verdure Pastures. They have lived in Western Montana for nearly 20 years and hail from Wyoming and New York respectively. They are passionate about their endeavors, maintain organic best practices, and aspire to provide food, cut flowers, and specialty meats to those who would seek them out.
Practices
We have an extensive array of vegetable and flowers that we raise here at Verdure Pastures. We grow quantities of Polish Jenn, Romanian Red, and Killarney Red garlic. We have a range of vegetables, and have found success with the Upstate Abundance potato from Row 7 Seeds. We have a growing strawberry field and a well established raspberry bed that produces a significant amount of berries.
We grow lavender, bee balm, poppies, lupine, Indian blanket, alliums, tulips, sunflowers, straw flowers, bachelor buttons, snapdragons, and a color spectrum range of queen zinnias, among others. As part of our house we have a solarium as a germination area, therein also are cultivating ginger, white figs, and are able to harvest leaves from our kaffir lime tree.
